ILA Travel Teams - Boise River Lacrosse and Elite Lacrosse
by posted 03/04/2013

All Idaho has been a big part of lacrosse in the Valley for the last 10+ years. It has had a great run and helped to grow the sport here in the Valley, but lacrosse is changing, both nationwide and locally and with it All Idaho is going away.  It’s time for something new.

To help strengthen lacrosse in the Treasure Valley, All Idaho is stepping back, to allow Elite Lacrosse and Boise River Lacrosse to take its place and improve on Idaho's traveling teams. Both organizations will be aligning forces with the ILA to create a better lacrosse experience for our youth and high school players.

Elite Lacrosse will step in at the U15 (9th grade) and High school levels. They will be releasing their own press release in the coming days to further explain the Idaho Elite program and their philosophy.

Boise River Lacrosse is now organizing the youth travel teams for the Idaho Lacrosse Association. Our philosophy is that every lacrosse player should have a chance to try out for a travel team and learn the best brand of lacrosse possible.  You do not need a special invitation to try out, there are no monthly fees, and you only pay for the tournaments you attend. Our committee is comprised of volunteers that include many dedicated youth and high school coaches. We are a 'For the Player' organization, not a 'For Profit' organization and will operate as such.

Boise River Lacrosse is holding an open tryout to select the best players in the Treasure Valley for the following teams.

U15 Boys (8th grade), U13 Boys, U11 Boys March 16, 2013 at Fairmont Park from 12:00 to 3:00

U13-U15 Girls March 9, 2013 at Fairmont Park from 9:00 to 11:00 – we will be combining the U15 and any U13 girls that would like to play up on a team for the 3 rivers tournament see info below.

All Selected Players will be required to purchase a Uniform for approx. $60 which will be good for the Spring/Summer Season.  Numbers will be assigned on a first come first serve basis.

The selected Boise River 2013 players will be going to the following tournaments and games:
April 20 – 21 3 Rivers Shootout in Kennewick Washington (Competitive Teams) (Jamboree) 4 games. $55 cost per player (Room Board and transportation not included)

April 27th Boys U15 and U13 teams will play in Twin Falls Idaho against Pocatello, maybe others. No player cost (parents will need to coordinate and pay for travel costs for this one day event)

May 11 - 12 Sisters Oregon for the annual SALI tournament (Jamboree) U11 $50 , U13 $55, Games only on Saturday,  U15 $65 Games Saturday and Sunday. (Room Board and transportation not included)
